· Parking fee and bus service

Several questions were put forward to Mr. Weiss……. from residents in the audience regarding the recent parking fee hike and new bus service.

Mr. Weiss responded by citing various expenditures and financial constraints of the PTTS:

The summary of his reply was…..The bus/parking are part of an entire system. The system is not sustainable economically without increasing the parking fees etc. University Apts. Are the part of the system. He mentioned 35 years of accumulated exceptions. He is trying to improve services and promised to have the bus Ol’ Sarge run every 20 minutes without fail. He is ready to listen to any more complaints and suggestions in order to improve services.

· Rent increase

Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar, President, UACC gave a presentation based on results of the recent survey conducted among UA residents regarding the rent increase and parking fee hike. Statistics of the survey and various complaints/suggestions by the residents were presented.

Mr John Sodolak…… responded by mentioning

A cost of $1300 per apt. to replace the A/C system in Hensel apts.

Prototype units to be tried out in Ave. A. to check efficiency, power consumption.

Filters are changed every 60 days.

Roofs of Hensel apts. are to be fixed very soon.

Promises to improve work efficiency and improve apt. conditions.

Complaints and suggestions are welcome anytime.

At the next meeting Mr. Jerry Smith will give a presentation on the budget.

Other general suggestions by some residents:

Have more events for residents who are single and married residents without children.

Reduce the cost of each prize at events and have more prizes instead.
